The atmosphere created was quiet. Location: the hotel was close enough to business district, the coast and a Budda statue on the corner of the street. Found Tgi Friday's with perfect drinks 400 metres away.

The staff showed great patience during our
Stay, helping us resolve a minor price dispute gracefully, though it didn't end in my favor. The location is convenient, opposite WTC, and close to various dining options.

Good and absolutely perfect location to Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct. Found in a downtown area right by the Trade Center and local shops and resturant as well as THE MINISTRY OF CRAB.

The room was decent enough for a comfortable stay.
The check-in process was frustrating, with minimal assistance offered. The rude staff at the counter created an unpleasant atmosphere. The toilet was uncomfortably small.

The Colombo City Hotel impressed me with its ideal location, just a stone's throw from the World Trade Centre and a short walk to the Dutch Hospital area. Exploring nearby restaurants like Ministry of Crab was effortless. The spacious room provided good amenities, including a refrigerator and reliable air conditioning. I really appreciated the convenience of tea and coffee facilities, promptly replenished. The rooftop restaurant stood out. Its buffet breakfast featured delicious local and western dishes, and the sunset views were fine. Some areas, like the reception, could use a bit more polish and organization, as it felt cramped. While staff were generally helpful, some issues cropped up during check-in, like the cleanliness of the coffee/tea tray. Room service also missed out on tidying up immediately upon check-in. Nevertheless, the experience was overall enjoyable with many positives, made it worthwhile, especially for short stays in Colombo.

The staff were accommodating, allowing an early check-in and approving a late checkout. The location is convenient, just a short walk from key attractions like the Dutch Hospital and One Galle Face Mall. The reception area felt cramped and unwelcoming, and the cleanliness of the coffee/tea tray was below expectations. Limited toiletries in the bathroom were disappointing.
